On New Year's morning, Murphy (Karl Glusman) receives a call from the mother of his ex-girlfriend, Elektra (Aomi Muyock). The woman is worried about her daughter, who has lost her hearing and no one has had contact with her for 2 months. Still groggy from the New Year's Eve party, Murphy thinks back to his romance with Elektra, when they were both full of joy and aspirations. They met in a Parisian park, she wanted to become a painter, he wanted to become a film director. A passionate relationship full of drugs, erotic adventures and mutual resentments left a lasting mark on their lives.
